Baraja: "We want to dedicate the victory to the victims and those affected by the 'DANA'"
The coach previews the game against Real Betis
Samuel Lino is one of the players with more participation in the team this season. The Brazilian player is showing great skills and also a remarkable ability to adapt to try to help the team in whatever is needed. After scoring against Real Madrid CF in the Supercopa and on the verge of the Copa del Rey tie against Sporting de Gijón, Lino has spoken to VCF Media.
We want more
Our team are confident, and the game against Real Madrid in the Supercopa gave us even greater confidence. We're training better and we're happy. I think that we're going to improve a lot now, and we're going to put together a run of wins.
Copa mode
Sporting are a team who are very well placed. They have good strikers and a good defence, and their stadium is really nice. It's going to be a great game and a great challenge for us. We are going to work hard over the coming days to get to the game ready to go through to the quarter finals.
We know the importance that the Copa del Rey has for us. I hope that we get to the final this year and can bring the trophy back to Valencia.
Key moments
The game against Real Madrid gives us extra motivation. We have to keep working hard and be rested and ready. The cup is difficult and LaLiga is difficult, so we have to keep working hard and rest well to respond well to the challenge of games every three days.
Mental strength
The coach always tells us to keep going and to have confidence. He says that we need to be strong mentally and that things will work out well.
Willing and happy
I'm very happy to be here, with Gattuso here and his coaching stuff. Valencia CF are an incredible club and this is an incredible city. It doesn't rain much here, which is great. I like the fans and the stadium a lot. The fans are incredible. I'm very happy here, and the important thing is getting minutes on the pitch. Wherever the coach plays me, I try to give my best -be it on the wing or in the middle, or up top with Cavani. It doesn't matter. I want to do my best and improve Valencia CF.
Grateful to the fans
My words for the fans are always of gratitude. I am always grateful for their encouragement at Mestalla, which motivates us. Mestalla is always full and many fans also come away from home. I will always be grateful to the fans for everything they do for us. I am convinced that we are going to have a great season to make them happy.
